2021 Niagara Falls Santa Claus Parade

Niagara Falls, ON, October 18th, 2021 – The Downtown Niagara Falls Business Improvement Area (BIA) is planning a joyous Santa Claus parade for November 13th, 2021.

The parade will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Victoria Avenue at Armoury Street and will travel north along Victoria Avenue to Valley Way, turn right on Queen Street, and end at City Hall near Queen & Erie.

The public can expect to see flashy floats, mascots, live entertainment, groups from the community, and Santa of course! If you’d like to be in the parade yourself, it’s not too late – please apply online at to secure a position by November 1st.

The BIA would like to send a huge thank you to the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario Power Generation, Lowes Niagara Falls, Hamill Machine Co, Meridian Credit Union, Niagara Peninsula Energy, Niagara Helicopters, Stamford Lions Clubs, Cogeco (YourTV), Niagara College, Niagara Health Foundation, Color by Kellie, and Winter Festival of Lights for being sponsors of the parade.

As headline sponsor, we extend an extra special thank you to Ontario Power Generation, who is also the sponsor behind the Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights – running their 39th annual enchanting Niagara Falls attractions from November 13th – February 21st, 2022.

The Niagara Health Foundation and The Downtown Niagara Falls BIA are planning a tree lighting ceremony at approximately 5:45 p.m., at City Hall with Mayor Jim Diodati to finish off the parade. Details to follow shortly.

“We’re hoping people make a full trip out of their visit by checking out the parade, tree lighting, the Christmas Market, and Winter Festival of Lights, while also visiting the local shops and restaurants in Downtown Niagara Falls,” says Ron Charbonneau, Chair of the Downtown Niagara Falls BIA.

This tree lighting also officially marks the start of the annual Niagara Falls Christmas Market, Niagara. The free outdoor Christmas Market will feature a variety of artisanal vendors from November 13th until the 19th of December. The market will be operating on Fridays 5:00 – 10:00 p.m., Saturdays 1:00 – 10:00 p.m., and Sundays 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The Christmas Market will include several vendors to shop from, light structures, interactive art displays, live music, and visits with Santa on Saturdays. The BIA has partnered with Picks and Giggles, who will be organizing all the vendors for the event. The BIA is excited to be offering safe, family-friendly, and interactive events to celebrate the holiday season. We are committed to following all Covid-19 government protocols, for all outdoor events which include the Santa Clause Parade, Christmas Tree Lighting, and Christmas Market.
